Transforming the NGO Community

Amazing new opportunities for Non-governmental Organizations by connecting the need with the solution

Today, over a billion people live without electricity. And, according to the World Health Organization, two billion people drink contaminated water every day and 800 million don’t have enough to eat!  Half of the world’s population has more than they need, while the other half is struggling with the basics, the things most of us take for granted. What’s the solution?  How do we fix this? It’s not a question of resources. There is enough to go around.

Fix the system

Billions of dollars are spent each year by NGOs trying to locate partners, usually through mass appeals, reaching out to philanthropic groups or directly to companies and individuals. What if every humanitarian organization could connect with every likely donner, matching a specific need with an expertise or just a desire to help? What if a potential solution to a problem could be instantly discovered and connections made?

Companies have all the resources necessary to solve the problems found in the developing world. While many are looking for ways to enhance their public image or build esprit-de-corps among their employees, it’s difficult to connect their interests with the need. Sure, there are many organizations which collect funds and distribute them to worthy causes, but, they’re just touching on what’s possible. Vloyen changes or fixes the system.

With Vloyen an organization would identify a need. That need would immediately connect to all companies and even individuals with the expertise or the desire or resources to help solve a specific problem.  Maybe it’s a water well for a South American village.  The need might be for drilling resources (equipment, tools) or training or infrastructure.  A small drilling company in Kansas might take on the entire project or, just a piece.

Vloyen instantly connects the millions of businesses, their specialties or, their interests with any groups working to solve these problems, helping to close the gap between the need and the solution.

For NGOs, they’ll be able to marshal the resources necessary, quickly, to address an immediate need and locate long-term partners to meet ongoing requirements. It is literally a match made in Heaven!

Vloyen is not a website or new fundraising tool. Vloyen is redesigning the way information flows, instantly connecting individuals, companies, organizations with common interests and goals.

Vloyen and the 4th Industrial Revolution

Going way beyond, Vloyen and Industry 4.0 will change everything!

“We stand on the brink of a technological revolution that will fundamentally alter the way we live, work, and relate to one another. In its scale, scope, and complexity, the transformation will be unlike anything humankind has experienced before. We do not yet know just how it will unfold, but one thing is clear: the response to it must be integrated and comprehensive, involving all stakeholders of the global polity, from the public and private sectors to academia and civil society.” – 4th Industrial Revolution as explained by Klaus Schwab Founder and Executive Chairman, World Economic Forum

Something’s coming. It’s picking up speed and will overtake most of us in the coming years. Industries will be disrupted, lifestyles will be altered, economics will be shattered as this revolution takes hold.

“By calculating when these digital technologies could reach their tipping points and by applying historical formulas, Nokia Bell Labs has projected a significant productivity jump, as much as 30% to 35% in the U.S., starting at some point between 2028 and 2033. This is a similar leap to the 1950s and could add approximately $2.8 trillion to the U.S. economy.” – Nokia Bell Labs, World Economic Forum

These technical changes being talked about are revolutionary but there’s a fundamental problem, which isn’t being addressed. Industry 4.0 is being built using a business communications and operational structure that’s essentially over 100 years old! We’re building the most amazing new technical capabilities and business systems on top of an inefficient and antiquated platform!

Vloyen is introducing a new way to share information, changing the way companies and industries communicate. Vloyen represents the platform upon which this industrial revolution will be built. Vloyen has, by itself, the potential to add 30% to the productivity improvements on top of what is forecast by Nokia Bell Labs. That’s what Vloyen brings to this “revolution.”  By combining Vloyen and Industry 4.0 there won’t just be a revolution, there will be a leap in productivity way beyond the most optimistic forecasts.  What’s bigger than a revolution? Try to imagine the impact on the global economic system and society at large as productivity jumps by 50 or even 60 percent!  It won’t be a revolution, it will be a transformation.

Vloyen, greatly improves and advances the 4th Industrial Revolution, and will change everything!

New Business Platform “Moves the Cheese”

Vloyen disrupts the status quo, changing the game and introducing something new

The internet has created an information tsunami leading to a host of new products and services for business. Leveraging this powerful and connected communications tool, tech savvy entrepreneurs have grasped the opportunity, disrupting entire industries along the way, leaving once rock-solid companies in the dust. These upstarts and their efforts seem to portend the future, leaving many to wonder what the next great whizzbang product or service will be and, if their business will survive it.

Building the future on the past

Seemingly unstoppable companies are dominating the landscape with their new functional platforms. They are innovative, bringing great new efficiencies and capabilities to business. But, not everything is as it seems.

These tools improve functionality, bringing new efficiencies.  Yes, they’re better and faster than what went before. But these “new” platforms have all have missed the opportunity to transform the way business operates. Instead they have conformed to exactly the way the underlying model works.  They have sacrificed what’s possible, unknowingly dumbing down their offering in order to fit the model.  As a result, they, now are part of the problem and their cheese is about to move!

Lifting the Veil

The key to making dramatic productivity improvements is all based on the way information flows. For instance, start with a product concept and carry it through the development stages, then through production, all the way to the end customer. Watch, document and discover. It’s all right there. The problem has always been staring us in the face. What you’ll find is that information starts and stops. Starts again, then stops.  At certain points it’s hidden, purposely delayed, sent in the wrong direction to the wrong people and on and on.  The current business model is the culprit and it’s been this way for over one hundred years!

If information flowed, without hindrance, to the right people at the right time, what could be achieved? How would this change the game?

Vloyen introduces a new platform, which greatly improves how business operates, driving out waste and enabling amazing discoveries. Vloyen focuses on the way information moves between companies, offsetting the need for many of the functional tools found in the market today. It’s game-changing and it’s the future.

Revolutionizing Medical Communications and Discovery

Vloyen transforms the way medical information flows

A recent 60 Minutes segment on Artificial Intelligence talked about the over 8,000 articles published every day in the medical community and how it’s impossible for physicians to stay on top of the latest developments in their field. IBM says Watson can read those 8,000 articles and help physicians keep up-to-date on all the latest discoveries. On the one hand, this is a new and exciting capability, bringing a wealth of information to the fingertips of physicians, worldwide. On the surface, it would seem that Watson’s ability to read and organize information is a sign of things to come.

But, Watson isn’t changing/fixing the system which limits and restricts the flow of information. Instead, Watson is doing more of the same, just a bit faster.

Vloyen changes the model.

With Vloyen, a physician and a new medical device or procedure will connect, instantly, without the help of Watson and without the delay of months or even years before Watson’s information arrives on scene. With Vloyen, those 8,000 articles will be routed to the exact reader/physician, instantly.  Vloyen connects physicians and their patients to the most important information, without delay.

One can only imagine the implications of this type of information interchange.  It’s game-changing and lifesaving!

Vloyen is reinventing the way business and industry communicate. The Vloyen model removes the barriers, stifling innovation and discovery.  Please visit: http://www.vloyen.com

U.S. Wasting $Trillions on R&D

Connecting R&D IP Instantly to Business Partners is a sea change for industry

In a widely quoted comment, Forrester Research said, “U.S. firms annually waste $1trillion in underused intellectual property assets by failing to extract the full value of that property through partnerships.”

An article in Forbes added to Forester’s analysis with this: “Of today’s 2.1 million active patents, 95 percent fail to be licensed or commercialized.  These unlicensed patents include over 50,000 high-quality patented inventions developed by universities. More than $5 trillion has been spent in the U.S. alone on research and development over the past 20 years, much of which went to create the very patents that remain unlicensed.”

This issue with uncommercialized patents is only part of the story. Companies have a mountain of unused Intellectual Property (IP) sitting on their shelves. Unlocking that potential would be a game-changer for industry.

Vloyen represents a new business model with the potential to make the necessary connections, bringing the IP together with the right business partner, instantly.  Vloyen revolutionizes the way companies communicate, providing instant, unfettered access to information, resulting in new efficiencies and discoveries not possible today.

This powerful, new business model will change the way companies interact, develop products, prospect for customers or suppliers, find employees, transact, collaborate and much more.

Sales and Marketing Reinvented

Vloyen changes the way companies buy and sell products dramatically reducing costs for business

On average, business spends about 10% of revenue to acquire and keep customers.  Some believe this only part of the story.  A recent Linkedin article by June Manley which talks about the true cost of sales and marketing states: “IDC Research estimates that B2B companies’ inability to align sales and marketing teams around the right processes and technologies costs 10% or more of revenue per year.”  Taking IDC’s estimate into account, it would seem that the actual cost of sales and marketing may be as high as 20%!

With the U.S. GDP at $17 trillion, a serious effort to reduce the cost of both sales and marketing, while tackling the misalignment IDC supposes, will yield huge results. $1-2 trillion can likely be recaptured for business, just in the U.S.!  And, consider this: globally GDP is $77 trillion!

Vloyen is a new model for business which brings buyers and sellers in close proximity. As a result, marketing and sales costs are greatly reduced, and the “misalignment,” the delays and disconnects are virtually eliminated, turning the selling process on its head. CRMs like Salesforce, Insightly, Hubspot, and more will be bypassed as the outdated business model gives way to something new and better, bringing unheard of cost savings to business.

Vloyen is looking for partners to help bring this game-changing business model to market.

Vloyen Reinvents B2B Publishing

New model creates huge opportunities for publishers

The Internet has disrupted few industries more than publishing as the transition from print to digital media has dragged most kicking and screaming into the digital age. Along the way, even the best run publishing businesses have struggled, having to continually “right size” their companies based on these new digital realities.

To stay in the game publishers have had to adjust to a plethora of new competing platforms and the ever-changing demands of their customers and readers. Competition now comes from around the globe or from homegrown newsletters and websites offering competing or even significantly better content, all taking a slice of potential revenue. Social media takes its own bite out of the ever-shrinking profitability apple.

The surviving publishers believe they’ve successfully transitioned to this new digital platform. But something bigger and more transformative has occurred. The Internet is not just a digital platform, it’s an enabling technology. It has the potential to change everything we do and how we do it. Today, publishers are simply modifying their behavior within the old model, moving from print to digital but, essentially, it’s business as usual, which leaves them vulnerable to the next innovation.

Vloyen embraces the power of the Internet, dramatically accelerating communication between companies and within industries, bringing with it many new efficiencies and opportunities. Publishers are at the center of this transition and can play a significant role as this new model rolls out.

New Supply Chain Model for Industry Promises Huge Savings

Dramatic reduction in wasted time and resources are hallmarks of new Supply Chain model

Locked inside today’s business model are layers and layers of wasted time and effort, lost or, delayed opportunities, affecting all facets of the business environment. Companies and industries direct a huge amounts of resources to tackle this waste. The size and scope of the problem is daunting. For example, a search for “supply chain initiative” returns 57 million results! Finding new efficiencies is a major preoccupation for business and industry.

While these efforts are important, they only address the symptoms, not the cause and, therefore, can only chip away at the edges, leaving the root of the problem untouched.

Vloyen is not another “supply chain initiative.”  It is unique, powerful, and comprehensive. It by-passes the old model, replacing it with something new, clearing the way for much greater efficiency. Vloyen eliminates many of the inherent barriers and, as a result, can lower the cost of doing business by as much as 20-30%!

Vloyen is seeking partners to help bring this new model to industry.  Partners could and should include:

New Media companies like Facebook, Google, Youtube, Amazon, Apple, Yahoo, and others are prime potential partners. They have the wherewithal, the expertise, and long-term view needed for a project of this scale.

Publishers are a major contributor to supply chain waste. They obstruct the free-flow of information. That being said, Publishers have a significant role to play, going forward.

Academic partners can help refine the Vloyen model and prepare the next generation of business professionals.

Government partners seeking new efficiencies for their country’s industries and closer relations with those they serve should find Vloyen appealing.

Research partners can help define tools for collaboration, R&D, and discovery, better aligning research with the need.

NGOs can use Vloyen tools to match the need with the solution.
